Road and ramp applications for trace heating
Since the late 1970's, Delta'T' have become the leading company in the United Kingdom for designing, supplying and installing ramp heating systems to keep traffic on the move!! The build up of ice and snow on inclined ramps disrupts essential deliveries to superstores, hospitals and many industrial complexes. The electrical system of heating roads and ramps provides an effective means of overcoming hazards caused by the formation of ice and snow.
By providing a gentle warmth, frost and ice formation can be prevented and snow melted before it can become compacted. The need for ice free conditions is of particular importance at road gradients, flyovers, traffic roundabouts, road intersections and at pedestrian ramps and crossings.
Fire escape routes, pavements, private driveways, airfields, car parks, factory areas, etc, can be protected by trace heating.
It is now commonplace for consultants and architects to insist upon the installation of ramp heating systems on inclined access roads during building works and Delta 'T' provide the complete package from the initial design consultation, through supply and installation of heating cables, control equipment and intercabling to testing, commissioning and the provision of as built drawings.
